Sunburn can occur at any time of the year, being caused by prolonged sun exposure and getting into contact with UV sunrays. So, if there’s any inconvenience about summer, except the fact that it lasts only 3 months per year that will be the appearance of sunburn.
I went through a painful sunburn experience a few months ago while I was enjoying my vacation in Maldives. Lying on the beach all day long isn’t the best option if you have white skin – you will end up with severe pain and an awful reddish and burnt skin.
Anyhow, I called M.O.M. right away and she told me to apply the following natural remedy, because it will soothe and restore my skin tissue faster than any other ointment.
Cold milk compresses
- 1 liter of cold milk
- clean cotton cloth/a piece of gauze
The most important thing is that the milk should be cold enough because it will calm and soothe your skin.
So, pour the cold milk in a bowl and soak in it the cotton cloth. The next thing is to apply it over the sunburn skin and leave it to act until gets warm.
The first compresses will get warm in a few seconds and you will need to change them quickly. Repeat this process until you’ll feel relief.
