Maca is a plant originating in Peru, more precisely from the Andes. This plant has been used for decades in treating various disorders. So, it became the best ally of alternative medicine in treating various diseases.
The maca root, less known until now, is being used more and more by women over 40 in treating menopause symptoms such as hot flashes.
The following remedy helped my mother and aunt a lot to relieve their menopause symptoms and to cope with that unbearable “hormone battle”.
Since the maca root is rich in nutrients and phytochemicals, you can consume it in the form of smoothies. You can add fruits pieces to get a better taste.
- 1 tablespoon of maca powder
- 2 cups of water
- 100 g of fruits (your choice)
Dissolve the maca root powder in cold water.
Process the ingredients in a blender.
Now, drink the smoothie.
Important! Drink one smoothie per day. It’s best if you drink it in the morning on an empty stomach. Of course, if it happens to wake up in the middle of the night with a burning sensation, you can prepare another smoothie.
