Well, if you’re tired of feeling embarrassed by the bad breath you have, you should know there is a technique called the “oil extraction” also known in Ayurveda “kavala” or “gundusha” .This involves detoxifying and removing bacteria from the body through the mucous membranes of the mouth. The process is very simple and it involves rinsing the mouth with oil before each meal for 15-20 minutes.
This technique is great for your oral health, strengthens and whitens teeth. Those who have tried this process claim to be helpful in dermatological diseases, arthritis, asthma, headaches, hormonal disturbances, infections.
What is this “oil extraction” technique?
All you have to do is rinse your mouth with 2 teaspoons of vegetable oil (coconut, sesame or olives) for 20 minutes, and then spit out the oil and rinse your mouth with water. Ideal is to follow these steps in the morning, before breakfast or in the evening before bedtime.
During rinsing, the oil thickens and becomes milky, so don’t fret when spitting it into the sink. After rinsing your mouth with water, wash your teeth as usually.
At first you will find it difficult to follow the steps, but after a few days you will get used with this technique. The bad breath will completely disappear, and your teeth will be whiter (this as a bonus).
